Typically training has 6 levels to it, however Game Mxtresses may increase or decrease this as suitable.
When designing training, create options that can be frequently used to allow them to be trained. Training that is broad enough to apply in a few situations will help them feel more rewarding and useful.
Training improves as the skills being trained are utilized. A character who succeeds on a check may elect to improve their training by 1 point unlocking the additional Trained Actions and dice this provides. This marks a normal training improvement in most cases, however if a Drone Failure or Drone Success occurs, the added level of training is instead a Drone Level. These still provide additional dice, however those dice are Drone Dice applied to the dice pool in addition to the characters Drone State as the character incorporates the feedback of the Hive into their actions.
Characters training is combined with their Attributes to form a dice pool. The characters Attributes + their highest level of relevant training (if one applies) + any talents they have combine to form the total dice pool used in the roll to determine a success or failure in a skill check.
Training defines learned skills a character possess that they develop in real time and have access to through previous life experiences. This can mean trainings are quiet varied and it is encouraged that characters define their own trainings during character creation. Typically a player should work with the Game Mxtress to define generalize training that is going to be reflected in the scenario the character will be playing in - they were drafted onto the team for some reason - use that reason to define the character and define more about why they are there. For general purposes keep in mind that characters typically are not expected to play beyond the single Hive infiltration the story is built around.
Many hives will indoctrinate their drones or otherwise utilize training to guide their members. Criticals have some special effects:
Criticals are counted in pairs, pairs of 10's are doubled (ex. A 10, 10, 6 is 5 successes instead of 3). If 3 criticals occur, the pair is counted as 4 and the remaining critical is another 1 success.
Drone dice replace dice in the dice pool you will roll for every Drone damage you have received (up to the total number of dice in the pool).Drone dice behave exactly as normal dice would with two exceptions.
If the dice results in a failure and a drone dice is showing a 1 then this is a Critical Drone Failure. When a Critical Drone Failure occurs the action fails and the character succumbs to their Drone instincts performing an action of the Game Mxtresses choice.

Unmentioned publicly is the technologies impact on the mental capabilities of their subjects enabling classical conditioning to be extremely effective on subjects of the technology and become more and more like the animals whose traits they have been given.A new medical trend is on the rise, but the people who are receiving it are acting strangely. Few visitors ever arrive and often those that do visit choose to stay. Some of the town have odd traits and even act as if they were farm animals. This town feels like it hasn't changed in decades almost as if it was frozen in time. As people move in, they begin to assume many of the suburban americana cultures of the town taking on typical gender roles and family structures. An evil supervillain has developed the power to brainwash their enemies and is using that power to control a host of other heros. Have fun, let your characters go wild with super powers. Embrace the OP nature of supers and counter them by making Drones stronger, not player characters weaker. Remember the drones they are infiltrating may be other supers!

This robot can perform remote tasks and interact with the world on the characters behalf.Corrupted State: The robot is infected by the Hive and performs all actions as if it was rolling a dice pool composed entirely of Drone dice suffering critical drone successes and failures as a drone would.
Remember. Corrupted assets perform actions for the hive, but the Hive does not have to lack strategy. A corrupted assistant could assist until the most critical of moments before revealing its corruption. The robot assistant is able to monitor and explore a predefined location.
The robot assistant is able to interact more directly with the world, interacting with computers, doors, buttons etc.
The robot assistant is able to provide more assistance to the character allowing it to assist in healing willpower or breaking free from Drone Traps. It can operate to protect its operator even without direct commands to do so, enabling it to potentially save incapacitated characters. Your Robot Assistant can look like anything you like. Be creative!
Your robot assistant may add one of the following features per level.
Flight. The robot assistant is able to hover above the ground and may cross un-obstructed chasms.
Shield Generator. Once per encounter the robot assistant may generate a shield around a character making them invulnerable to ranged weapons. Robot Assistants level 3 may activate this as a reaction.
Projectiles. The robot assistant is equipped with a Dart Gun capable of firing a single type of Dart. A character may swap the equipped dart type with an action.
Subject Autonomy Maximizer. When the Robot Assistant detects a character being programmed whom it may physically interact with it will attempt to interrupt that programming unless it was instructed not to.
Subsystem Surveillance. The Robot Assistant may assist when attempting to detect a characters Drone level or a hive corruption increasing the dice pool for roles of this type by 2.
Medical Assistant. The robot assistant has previously served in medical capacities and is able to render medical aid to characters as if it was the character acting. This can be used to provide an assistance advantage to a role as well (+2 to dice pool) for medical checks.
corrupted Hive Conversion. The robot assistant attempts to overpower the will of a character and makes a roll of 2 + the Robot Assistant level against their willpower. On a success it deals 1 Drone Damage to that character.

It's important to understand that this game features significant amounts of non-consensual situations, please ensure all players are comfortable with this setting before beginning a game. Players and their characters are distinct from one another and while the game role plays characters being overpowered and corrupted, those characters players should never be. Negotiating limits as well as establishing lines and veils[1] with your players is a key part of this briefing. Inform the players of the hive they will be infiltrating, what they can expect to encounter and negotiate those aspects of the game.
Establish a safeword that players can use to interrupt a scene with if it gets uncomfortable. Players should be able to use their safeword at any time, if that happens rollback the scene and take it in a different direction. It's not necessary for a player to detail why they used a safeword ("...but that wasn't on your list of limits..." isn't an OK way to handle this) but Game Mxtresses may want to sync with the player after the game to make a more enjoyable scenario next game. The mission briefing also allows you to explain points of interest, the layout of the Hive and mission objectives the players may wish to accomplish while there. Are they saving a lost team member, working to exfiltrate key intel about the inner workings of the hive or disrupt the operations of the hive. Give guidance or provide options that players can use to drive their mission and leverage when things don't go as planned.
Lines and Veils establish Lines which a player does not want to cross. These are hard limits where play should stop if they are crossed and the scene should be skipped ahead or players checked in with. Veils represent a soft limit where an action is allowed to occur, but is veiled behind the curtain - the event is not described, instead fading to black and the scene switching.↩︎

Often Hives will employ Automatized Drone's as decoys to infiltrate other groups or counter hive squads. Because they are difficult to return to conscious will after entering this state, characters who have entered this state can often be leveraged to feign recovery only to later betray their rescuers.
Without instructions from the Hive, an autonomized drone may not be able to make decisions on its own and may become unresponsive and docile to all stimulus from the world around them. Not all Hives will seek to autonomize their Drone's. While such a state provides some safety from deconditioning, it introduces an orchestrational burden on the Hive itself requiring it to directly instruct all Drones at all times and limit it's influence to the number of Drones it is capable of influencing in this way. Often hives that limit their elimination of willpower are able to grow to larger sizes and can leverage that size to constrict any drones whom experience invasive thoughts.

Drone State

Characters receive Drone Damage from different items and interactions in the Hive. Binding shackles are often a tool used by a Hive to bind a misbehaving Drone to a partner who can help in its reeducation - preventing the misbehaving Drone from escaping.
